Stress, we may not like it but we all experience it.
But what is stress?
There is no official medical definition for stress however there are many known factors that can contribute to it. Some factors include external pressures such as financial worries and internal pressures such as an individual’s mental health.
It is vital to remember that although we don’t tend to enjoy feeling stressed, it is an important part of life. The right amount of stress can give us motivation, it can help us reach personal goals and it can trigger a response to tell us when we are in danger.
How to tell if you are overstressed?
Although it is normal to feel stressed in day to day life, for some people these feelings do not go away and their mind and body is in a constant state of ‘fight or flight’. Stress not only affects our minds but can have very real physical implications too.
